About Compressing PDFs
PDF files are large mainly because of the images inside them. This tool reduces size by rendering every page to a compressed JPEG at a chosen quality, then rebuilding the PDF from those images.
The trade-off is that text becomes part of the image and can no longer be selected or searched. All processing happens in your browser - your PDF is never uploaded.
